Central Mix CONCRETE Batch Plant

Bulk Storage Silo(s)
Bulk storage cementitious storage can be configured as single units, multi-compartment, or multiple silo arrangements.  Individual and multi-compartment silo sizes range from 200 BBL's to 2,500 BBL's.  Larger bolt-together units are also available.  Storage capacities can be tailored to your production requirements.

Cement Weigh Batcher
The cement weigh batcher provides precise weighing for the plants cementitious materials.  Standard components include NTEP approved stainless steel load cells, pneumatic inching type discharge valve, aeration, pneumatic vibrator, and test weight hanging brackets. Multiple cementitious materials weigh batchers can be provided to increase throughput, prevent cross-contamination, and preserve color sensitive end products.

Twin Shaft Mixer
The capital investment in a central mix plant is justified by the added benefits of efficiency, throughput, and versatility that a twin shaft mixer provides in comparison to a traditional transit mix or dry batch plant.  Efficiency is maximized with reduced cycle and truck loading times, and greater control of concrete consistency; factors that limit dry batch production.  In addition to greater production capability, a twin shaft mixer offers the versatility of being able to produce zero slump concrete, roller compacted concrete (RCC), and flowable fill.  Pan, turbine, planetary, and ribbon type mixers can also be installed in lieu of the twin shaft mixer and provide similar and unique benefits to the concrete producer.  Twin shaft mixers are available in sizes up to 12 cubic yards.  Retrofitting your existing transit mix plant with a twin shaft mixer can also be a cost effective way to gain the added benefits of a central mix concrete plant.

Mixer Stand & Platform
Custom designed and engineered mixer support stand and platform tailored to your particular application.   The mixer structural support and access platform can be configured for truck drive-through and to accommodate unique production layouts.   The platform provides inspection and service access to the mixer.

Control & Electrical Containers
Separate stackable control and electrical containers house the plants automation system and electrical system.  The pre-wired electrical trailer contains the motor control panel, main disconnect, and transformer for all primary and control devices; requiring a single power source connection.  The electrical system can be configured to accommodate international voltage requirements and all interconnecting primary and control wiring can be provided with pin and sleeve connections to facilitate quick installation.   The climate controlled control trailer contains the plant's computer controlled automation system, free-standing manual back-up panel, wall mounted mixer slump meter, and the aggregate handling control panel.  The container is fully insulated and finished with durable furnishings and goods.  A modular stairway, wrap-around inspection platform, and large windows afford the operator clear views of the truck charging area. 

Water Weigh Batcher & Holding Tank
Each central mix plant is outfitted with a water weigh batcher and holding tank.  Weighed water is a faster and more reliable method for measuring batch water and a requirement for most batch plants producing high specification concrete  A water meter is provided for loads that require tempering.  Combination water and ice weigh batchers can be provided for producers that require concrete cooling capability. 

Mixer Charging Conveyor
The mixer charging conveyor transfers the weighed aggregate materials from the aggregate weigh batcher to the mixer.  Various sizes and configurations can be designed to meet your specific layout and production requirements.  Most high speed production plants will have a minimum 48" wide (belt size) deep truss mixer charging conveyor with 45 degree troughing idlers to transfer the aggregate materials to the mixer in the most efficient manner. 
Aggregate Feed System
There are many possibilities for ground storage and transfer methods of aggregate materials to overhead plant storage.  The systems are designed based upon production requirements, site topography and size, and budget.  Some of the systems available include:  single feed conveyor with electric turnhead or shuttle conveyor, single feed conveyors for each overhead compartment, radial stacking conveyors, or a combination thereof.  Various ground storage hopper configurations can be customized for your particular application, including drive-over systems, tunnel systems, and rail unloading.  These systems can be completely automated.  Aggregate heating of ground storage is also available for cold weather concrete production.  More information.

Concrete Batch Plant Aggregate Section
The aggregate section consists of the overhead aggregate storage compartments and the aggregate weigh batcher.  The overhead storage bin can be customized to accommodate the number of compartments and storage capacity that you require.  The aggregate weigh batcher comes standard with NTEP approved stainless steel load cells, high speed inching type discharge gate, pneumatic vibrator, and test weight hanging brackets.  Multiple and live bottom aggregate weigh batchers are available.  The overhead bins and weigh batcher can be supplied with replaceable abrasion resistant urethane liners, moisture measuring and compensation probes, material level indicators, and heating systems for cold weather concrete production.
